Well Vince you were told by coach Fisher that he will do everything to help you win your starting spot back. Collins is the starter for now, the offense is more effective with him on the helm. If you want your starting spot back then out play Collins and earn your spot. To blame the lack of a passing game when Young was the starter on the lack of good wide receivers is pointless, Collins put up good passing numbers with those same receivers. Sports:

The Atlanta Falcons boosted their hopes for another trip to the playoffs by acquiring tight end Tony Gonzalez from the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday for a draft pick next year.

The Chiefs insisted they also improved their chances for success in 2009 by making the trade.

The Falcons will send a second-round pick in 2010 to Kansas City in exchange for Gonzalez, the only tight end in NFL history selected to 10 Pro Bowls.
Last year the additions of Matt Ryan and Michael Turner made the Falcons look like a whole new team. They needed the new look and change after what happened with Michael Vick. The team has moved on and now look scary. Matt Ryan showed us a glimpse of what he was capable of as a rookie. Michael Turner showed he wasn't a back up anymore and could run on anyone. Roddy White proved he was an elite receiver. With the addition of one of the greatest tight ends of all time and a draft nearing, the Falcons will mean business next season.

Updated Mock Draft

1. He was riding in his bus from California to Ohio attempting to write his life in to one speech. During this he talked about when he was little and after school him and his friends would play in the empty lot next to his house, calling it Madden's lot. Then one day a house got built on his lot and he was sad, he talked about being drafted by the Eagles in the 13th round, and getting his $7,000 contract and how exiting it was to get paid to play football. He talked about getting injured in tranning camp and never beeing able to play a down in the NFL. Thats when he became interested in Coaching, Latter on he was the LB coach for the Raiders, and spoke on how exited he was to coach agains his idol Vince Lambardi in the Super Bowl. Then two years latter the head coach of the raiders left and he saw his chance to go speak with Mr. Davis about the vacant job. He told Mr. Davis you are either born to be a head coach or you are not, and I was born to be a head coach. He then told Mr. Davis if i'm not ready now at 32 what makes you think i'll be ready at 50? Mr. Davis agreed with him and named his the raiders next head coach, Then madden went on to coach 10 years never had a loosing season, won 1 Super Bowl, and left the game with the highest winning percentage ever, I belive its 76%. After that he went and took over the broadcasting world. Then EA came to him with the idea of an NFL video game, Madden is a hands on guy, every play used in madden has been aproved by him, the use of X's and O's was his suggestion, he wanted to make the game are ralistic as possible, he even learned to play the game so he could feel what the fans would feel like. Now he is going to be at home tending to his family, well now he can work on training those 5 grandsons of his and making them into solid Offensive Line Men. Thanks for the memories Madden, it was a plesure to listening to your comantating on game day.

Hasselback's Future In Seattle

There has been a lot of speculation lately that the Seattle Seahawks could possibly take a quarterback in this year's draft. In the past two years Matt Hasselback has been hurting with back problems. When your back is a problem, your future in a contact sport becomes a problem.

Hasselback was questioned about the Seahawks possibly taking a quarterback in the draft and he responded,

"They can do whatever they want to do. I mean, you could do that, that’s your prerogative. It won’t change anything I do. I’m getting ready to play football this year. I am going to play football this year. I’m not concerned at all (about my back). It’s always been a joke for me. I don’t feel good about first rounders because I was a sixth-round pick. I don’t watch the draft on Saturday. I watch the draft on Sunday.”
Will Matt Hasselback come back and take the league by storm like he did a few years back? Will he go out with a hard hit to his back? Will the Seattle Seahawks draft a quarterback? We'll find out soon enough. I don't think the Seahawks should grab a QB in the draft unless it is in the late rounds. Teams with a set quarterback that could use Burress are the Bears, Eagles, Raiders, Seahawks, Dolphins, Ravens, and Titans.

I could easily see Plaxico as a Raider, Bear, or Raven the most.

This post is open for discussion.

Aaron Curry, OLB, 6-3 247 Wake Forest

To me Aaron Curry of Wake Forest is the best all around defensive player in this draft. He has a huge upside to become one of the top linebackers in the NFL. If he ends up being drafted by an NFC team i see him right on the top with Jon Beason and Patrick Willis. His 4.56 40 speed at the combine(the fastest LB)proves he is in another athletic level. The hard hitting all american was recognize with the 2008 Butkus Award(NCAA top LB). I seriously believe Aaron Curry will make an impact on the first day he steps foot in to the NFL, thats why I see him going in the top 3. Good luck to Aaron Curry and congrats to the team that grabs this beast.

I will be back in a few days with my next top prospect.

Madden

I just finish reading a story about the new Madden game coming out this year in August. It is title Madden 2010 Wish list and it contains some problems with the previous maddens and what needs to be upgraded or changed in the game. To me so many things need to be changed in the Madden games from the uniforms to the contracts and emotions of the players. I agree with all these changes that are in the story like the draft days, to have a combine, and when a player does so good like a comeback's rating 79 and gets 10 interceptions or a quarterback that has a rating of 80 and throws for 4500 yards and 30 tds, his rating should go up, not down or stay the same. There is so much that needs to be changed and i sure hope ea sports reads any of the request so they can make a better madden game. Read the story if you love the Madden games and want it to be a better game.
http://sports.ign.com/articles/899/899333p1.html

Jay Cutler Traded to the Chicago Bears

The Denver Broncos traded QB Jay Cutler and their 2009 fifth round draft pick to the Chicago Bears for QB Kyle Orton, 2009 first and third round draft picks, and the 2010 first round draft pick.

USC Pro Day

Mark Sanchez helped his stock at the USC Pro Day yesterday Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Scouts are saying he had a better pro day then Matthew Stafford and that Sanchez looks a little like the next Matt Ryan. He has the arm power of a good quarterback and he is smart on what to do with the football. He may not have the complete Quarterback abilities like the past top 1st round QBs, but he can be one of them with a team giving him that chance to shine and show what he has to bring in the next level, the National Football League.

Now on to the LB of USC: Clay Matthews, Brian Cushing, and Rey Maualuga. They did an awesome job in there pro days to help there stock for the NFL Draft. I cant really single any of them out by there workouts cause they all did great, but you can by the scheme they play. Clay Matthews ran a 4.57 in the 40 yard dash and looks like a 3 down LB who played safety in high school before he came to USC as a walk on, so some of his old safety habits came into play and helped out a lot. Brian Cushing ran the 40 with a 4.63 at 249 lbs which is pretty good. With Rey Maualuga, he had a twisted ankle and had to tape it up before the workout so he couldn't run his 40 until the end of the work out and ran a 4.70, just a bit slower then at the combine but that ankle slowed him down so it wasn't a big deal. All three LB did awesome in the pro days, they are beast hungry for some football and i cant wait to see them in the NFL.

Well after I heard and saw a little bit of the USC pro day, my mock draft is on the verge on changing a lot of picks and it may also change the minds of the teams who are in a need of a young top draft quarterback and top line backers. I seriously cant wait to see the NFL draft this month, its going to be a great day.

Titans vs Redskins

The Titans finally accused the Redskins of tampering with Haynesworth before he became a free agent on February. The Titans have turned in evidence of which is the Redskins contacting Haynesworth before February when free agency started. My guess is the Titans are just so angry that the Redskins beat them to the punch on signing there top defensive player and now are trying anything to make the Redskins pay, but I don't think whatever the Titans do is going to get them Haynesworth back.

Haynesworth played his first seven NFL seasons with the Titans and after agreed to terms with the Redskins to a $100 million contract five hours into the free agency period on February 27 2009.

Cutler vs Campbell

For the past few days, I have been seeing a lot of news about Cutler and the Broncos problems like Cutler wanting to be traded and the Broncos giving him what he wants. I mostly watch the NFL Total Access and on the bottom of the TV screen they always put like latest news and stuff, well when they put something about the Broncos finally attempting to trade Cutler, they put a Redskins symbol instead of the Broncos symbol. I thought it was just a mistake at first. Just yesterday I was reading something on Yahoo! news and I saw something similar on the same topic but they put a picture of Jason Campbell instead of Jay Cutler. Now this morning I found out that there is a trade that is trying to be done to have Jay Cutler go to the Redskins and have Jason Campbell go the Broncos. Campbell has stated that he wants to remain in Washington and Cutler now changes his mind about being traded and seems to admit to playing the Broncos with a little trade game.

Now I know what I thought were mistakes were simply clues to where Cutler may end up playing at, the Washington Redskins. I do think Cutler is more valuable than Campbell so I expect if this trade does go down, then the Redskins may have to give up Campbell and some sort of draft pick. Even though all this is going on, I still keep my guess up that yes, Cutler gets traded to some team, who knows, but Josh McDaniels tries to get Tyler Thigpen from his friend Scott Pioli, the GM of the Kansas City Chiefs, but that's just a guess.

Cutlers Bluff

Cutler had this to say while being quickly interviewed while attending UFC Fight Night 18,
"I was surprised they decided to trade me this soon," Cutler told Glazer in his first comments since the statement was released. I didn't want it to get this far."

This just shows he was bluffing the whole time when he sold his homes, didn't return phone calls, told his agent to ask for a trade, and not just putting this whole situation behind them and move on to help build a team to make it to the big show.

Cutler should have just man up and not be the problem child in this situation. When police officers showed up at the condo, they discovered blood in the condo but the bodies of the two African immigrants were found in Queens and Brooklyn New York. Jonathan Vilma was not in New York or in his condo that week and he was a shocked as anyone when he heard the news. Vilma moved out of the condo on November 2007 and is still up for sale.

It is still unclear how the bodies may have been in Vilma's condo and all they know is where the bodies were dumped. One of the victims, Sakor 31 was found Friday dumped in Queens, NY and Keita 32 was found in Brooklyn, NY. There are test being run with the blood inside Vilma's condo and with the victims to see if they match and if the bodies were ever inside the condo. Police say that the victims may have been mixed up with a so called "black money scheme" that includes money smuggled from overseas sold here in the US. Police are seeking to ask questions to a relative of Vilma who also had access to the condo.

Moats' vs Texas Police

Police Officer Robert Powell has resigned from the police department for the incident last month on March 18, 2009. Officer Powell detained Houston Texans RB Ryan Moats' in a hospital parking lot while his mother-in-law passed away inside the hospital. What really made this issue worse was that Moats' was explaining to Officer Powell that his mother-in-law was dying but Powell wouldn't listen. Moats’ mother-in-law died while Powell was ticketing and lecturing him. The whole incident was recorded with a camera on the dashboard of Officer Powell's patrol car.
http://video.yahoo.com/watch/4748402/12681781

Stallworth vs DUI Manslaughter

Stallworth will be charged with a DUI manslaughter which the charge carries a possible 15-year prison sentence. The only thing Mcdaniels is doing is listening to the offers that other teams are offering, nothing else, he never accepted any trades. Now even though Mcdaniels has publicly announce that Cutler is there quarterback, Cutler still doesn't want to be a man and move on and keep asking for a trade. How does that look on Cutler's part, teams will look at him and see a player who is going to be starting drama everytime there is a trade offer with his name in it. He needs to realize he is under contract, has a new head coach and get on the field and play for what he is getting paid for and not worry about the stuff the head coach has to do.

Well earlier today, the owner of the Denver Broncos announce that they are attempting to trade Cutler and are going to be contacting teams and that Cutler doesn't not want to have anything to do with the Broncos. Some of the teams that are interested in Cutler are the following: Detroit Lions, New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Fransisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins, Washington Redskins, and Jacksonville Jaguars. The Vikings have stopped trying to offer trades back in February and the Chicago Bears have somewhat committed to Orton as there quarterback for now.

One of my guesses for what the Broncos are going to do to find another young quarterback is try and get Tyler Thigpen from the Chief. Since the Chiefs new GM, Scott Pioli and Josh Mcdaniels have a history in the past working together, they can come up with a deal to send Tyler Thigpen to the Broncos once Cutler gets traded. I would rather see Thigpen as a starter then sitting on the bench next season behind Matt Cassel but only time will tell what will happen and I can't wait and see what happens between these teams.

The Future of Michael Vick

Once again Michael Vick is in the headlines. He has been ordered by the judge to pay the Atlanta Falcons $6.5 million to clear the bonus money he received from the team. The Falcons are now cleared to release him. He is already broke, can't sell his house, Spanky's girlfriend in prison, hated, and unemployed. Things can only get better from here and they will.

Vick was recently released from prison and is living in an unknown halfway house. From here he will attempt to get his life back together and hopefully make his return to the NFL in the 2010 season. Where will he end up? Next year there are too many top quarterbacks coming out of college which means the competition for Vick to find a team will be tough. However, he is a proven quarterback (cough running back cough). He would be perfect for a team that is rebuilding or a team with everything but a QB.

The teams currently in need of a QB are the Lions, Jaguars, 49ers, Broncos, Redskins, Jets, Bears, Buccaneers, Vikings, and Dolphins. Your guess is as good as mine, but I see him with the Vikings.

Coming Soon

The blog is under construction and will be finished shortly.
